And his work is unbelievable.
Those sharp inward angles are among the best you’ll find, even talking about watches that cost 10 times more.
Florent Lecomte is honest and told the clients he made as good as everything himself... including for example the balance wheel.
The engraving is done by manufactor SA, you might want to check this and “Philippe Narbel” on IG too
I spoke with Philippe several times
Engraving is a particular speciality and is very different from watchmaking so Lecomte asked manufactor SA to engraving his watches.
Believe me, they have among the best artisans you can think about.
The superior inward angles are also done by manufactor SA. Lecomte did it himself for his first series but wanted the nec plus ultra for his second series and he knew there are people specialised in inward angles.
So again this was done by a specific guy at Manufactor SA.
I know his name and he is a master. He also does work for the most prestigious independent watch brands you can think about... and I mean the most prestigious and expensive
Unfortunately they are not allowed to talk about this cause they have special contracts with these brands.
I know the specific brand (s) but you’ll have to understand I won’t tell.
One brand is more open and correct and did allow manufacture SA to speak about them. So I can tell you Laurent Ferrier use manufactor SA for special finishing
So that’s in a nutshell why these inward angles are PERFECT.
Florent Lecomte still is a professor at a famous watchmaking school in Morteau, France. This is about 10-20 km from the Swiss boarder and many of the students will work in Switzerland after finishing their education.
Now Florent makes these watches in his spare time cause teaching is his main job.
For the series 2 it takes him about 200 hrs to make 1 watch.
Within 3 months I’ll visit him and manufactor SA and I’ll make a post about his fantastic art.
And I’ll pick up my nr 1/12 series 2 😁
Just like I have the 1/10 of his series 1
