I don't think any clever expats would buy a lambo in Indo. The government imposed a very high import tax on luxury cars, just like in Singapore. For instance, the retail price for aventador in US is us$380,000 versus rp. 9,500,000,000.- (us$ 1,000,000) in Indonesia. Most of the people I met are business tycoons in mining, plantations,oil and gas, etc. If blunotte decides to buy one and join the club, then we ll have a textile tycoon listed on the club.

And the roads there are horrible. How do you guys drive these nice cars there? Oh man i still remember the downtown jam. Imagine moving 50meters in 20mins! Love the food and the people there though.

They will only take their cars at midnight to get rid of the traffic problem. Some would bring the armed bodyguards to follow them in the HumVee owing to the social and potical issues. The convoy will always have policemen to secure the roads and to close...
