My Observatoire will be in platinum.
I think the reasoning behind your SS case is totally valid: showcase the movement. However, for my piece I have chosen to "frame" the movement in a luxurious metal as a way of honouring its excellence.
Mine will have a very special combination of colours, materials and finishes. I'm very excited about the whole thing.

bi-metal balance wheel
It has a bi-metal balance wheel...... (As long as I concern, normal Voutilainen has mono-metal balance wheel.) Does it have a guillaume balance? If so, the base of the movement must be one of the most important watch movement on whole earth.......

The reason is very simple. I'm not choosing the stainless steel because of its rarity, all Kari watches are rare to begin with. I just want a very basic, non precious case to be a body of a special Observatoire movement. I think the conrast will be nice. ...
