The watch got condensation in it while cleaning it so I sent it in to th eSmith’s for service. I don’t know the exact history of the watch but Roger and Carolyn did so when I purchased it I counted on their advice. When I sent it in I gave complete control to Roger for the service etc. He upgraded the movement to current standards, fully service it and left the case in it’s original form which I preferred anyways. Now I have an updated RWS unpolished and current. For me that is the best of all worlds, the swirls on the case are part of the history of the watch and fine by me…Jim
