haha I like the devil π and your review

I really enjoyed reading your review, and the fantastic photos made it even better! The Vacheron is an impressive watch, and it's interesting to learn that it uses a peripheral system like the Carl F. Bucherer. However, for my personal taste, I'm going to pass on it. Setting the price aside (which is indeed a significant factor), I find the watch's design leans too heavily towards a classic or even grandfatherly style that I'm currently avoiding. In the past, I appreciated the purist lines, such as those in the VC Ultra Fine, but nowadays, I gravitate towards more contemporary designs.
Another noteworthy concern is Vacheron's (and several other brands') shift towards a boutique strategy. Having been a long-time customer of authorized dealers like Bucherer in Switzerland, I've chosen to vote with my wallet by not purchasing from boutiques, be it AP, Vacheron, or others. The Carl F. Bucherer I recently acquired aligns better with my lifestyle. I'm particularly fond of its innovative floating tourbillon,
For me, classic gold watches from 50+ years ago (such as those in the Traditionnelle and Patrimony lines) are no longer appealing. I made an exception for the Vacheron Corne de Vache as it's an exceptional watch crafted in steel, giving it a more contemporary appearance than the watches that could potentially be claimed by my great-grandfather any moment! π
If I happen to come across the Vacheron, I'd be happy to try it on, but I often feel guilty about entering a boutique and asking to try something that I'm not genuinely considering purchasing. It makes me feel like I'm wasting their time.
