Independents

First Post: MB&F LM1

I've been reading this forum for a while and got a lot out of the awesome content. I haven't posted before and had some free time today, so thought I would share some photos and thoughts on my latest incoming (LM1 in WG).

Journey so far: I've been casually collecting watches for about 3 years now and have a small collection which means all get a lot of wrist time. Living in the US with my family & friends back in Europe, watches with GMT / dual time complications have both an emotional and practical connection for me. I've also been getting into independents more recently and enjoyed spending time learning and researching. My first pickup was the rolex blnr and then quickly added the FPJ CB (before they went crazy) and kept those 2 in rotation. Over the past 6 months I've picked up the Patek 5524G (know this is polarizing but I love it) and most recently the MB&F LM1.

The MB&F history and brand really resonates with me and I love how they are trying to push the boundaries. It's hard not to love all their pieces, but with my affinity for GMT / dual time watches the LM1 was the one which really stood out to me and was lucky enough to pick one up about 3 months ago. Since then it's become my favorite watch and is getting the most wrist time. I thought it would be one to bring out on special occasions / when I'm feeling a bit crazy, but it's much more wearable than I expected. Everything about the watch is beautiful and the dome is really special. Something you need to see in the metal to appreciate. I also find the second dial the easiest to read at a quick flash to see what time it is in Europe.

Hope everyone enjoys the photos. All iphone pictures so sorry they aren't better quality (a few more on my insta sfwatchdude too).
