In December 2019, I had the opportunity to discover a new brand, Hentschel, during a dinner we organized with the Hentschel Team. We could see some of their watches, the H1 Chronometer, the H2 and the H2 Sport, but better, they let two watches for some 6 ...  

a manually wound chronometer timepiece is always very attractive and I like personally H1 due to its dial + lugs I suppose. yes, 37hours would have been better but then again - if it is one to wear daily, winding each day is good too ;-) H1 dial is a 'tad...  

I can see those watches at a show.

Any US travel this year.

By the stainless steel S1 chronometer with the 37mm case. 20 years ago that would have seemed too small. My eyes have changed I guess

I wish there was somewhere in the Boston area where i could try them both on.

I think I would've bought one if not for the welded lugs... just not my thing.

Today, i dont see myself buying one, but they are great pieces for sure.

Needless to say that I fully share your point of view: the H1 is a very attractive option, and the little adjustments you mention would/will bring this Chronometer close to perfection in this category. I'm sure we'll hear of this watch and brand more and ... 

Those movements look lovely. The H1 is very nice, indeed. Classic but not boring (JLC Master design committee, are you listening?)

To me, this watch in real life is even more convincing. If you want details changed, this is one of the benefits of a small make, that you can just talk to them... C. ...  

I find the brand very interesting - and especially the thought of a special edition for our community!
