Just arrived today (preowned but virtually new), over the moon with first impressions. Have been learning about Bovet and increasingly obsessed over the last few months and feel so fortunate to now have one in the collection. ...

We don’t see many and that strap/clasp mechanism is so unique. Looks very cool.

I am intrigued by its lug ends…is this strap styling based on a pocket watch ‘conversion’ into a wristwatch? I ask based on the crown placement.

…the name 19thirty even alludes to a time when Bovet was at the end of its pocket watch era. The watch is meant to recall these pocket watches both with the crown placement but also the case shape and the dials/fonts.
