Blockbuster

Caution, satire !!!

Here's one for Basel. Say you were promoting Incablock. I know
exactly what Incablock is supposed to do, how it is put together, and
every part of its construction. The same goes for KIF. They are good!

We start with an Original Inca block, weighing one or two ton(ne)s,
which the Incas used to build their temples for human sacrifice and
other diversions for their people and gods.

Now we bore a hole into it from below. This is difficult, because
most of these blocks were cut out of solid granite - almost as
difficult to work as platinum for a watchmaker.

A watch is ceremoniously introduced into it. Then the hole is sealed with fortified concrete.

After a day or so, two Strong Men appear before the gaping crowd
with mighty sledge hammers, and start pounding away at the block!
WHAM, BAM! - chip for chip, piece by piece, the block is destroyed.

At last the watch is revealed, still cheerfully ticking away.
But there still remains one Mighty Blow to be struck, over the last hunk of granite.

SMASH !!! The watch is entirely destroyed.

Entirely?

Not entirely, because ONE piece of assembly has survived - the Incablock!

-----

Thanks to the Inca gods, I decided for a Peseux 260 without the Block.

But my sledge hammer is only a stone's throw away...
