So my MIH is back, and working great. I enjoyed a long and very pleasant call with the gentleman from the service center when he called personally to tell me it was on its way back.
I can not address the concerns that future owners might feel given the postings pertaining to the troubles with the April batch - but I can say from personal experience that everyone involved in solving the issues was attentive, professional, and very supportive.
So rest assured that not only will any lessons learned from these issues be incorporated in the next batch (this is my assumption and what I have been lead to believe from various conversations - not a guarantee) but if anything does go wrong, there are many real people there to make it right.
Support the Museum, enjoy the piece, and relish in the ownership experience (for better or worse) and the people you meet alone the way.
