As a fine object, very successful
The complication is intellectually underwhelming, but the dial is novel. As serious as this hobby can be, it's fun to watch the two small hands complete their revolutions quickly at different speeds.
This could have been an extremely popular model with collectors, if it was priced as an entry level piece. At CHF 70,000, it's selling to the collector who is willing to pay a premium for this unique set of characteristics: very high end craftsmanship, excellent legibility, whimsical complication, and a very casual appearance.
