The global view of his creations is really coherent, from H1 to H11.
I wrote about the encounter with the H9 last year here, and there were a lot of reactions (I read your article on the H1 first), mainly not so positive to say the least.
The most interesting watch (if I can call it like that) I ever encountered, an intellectual one which sum up all what collectors like, want and are imho and maybe refuse to see, that's where it is tricky and fun, such a talking piece . First the feeling of watching it, winding it and hearing it, and then the direct reflect of yourself watching at the watch in its environment of friends looking at it, that is when I got the shock (illumination), I will never forget that moment.
He has his own philosophy behind, in this research of perfection and the need to reduce it to essential. And this H11 comes directly in this line, a perfect watch hand made by a watch-maker with his own style, and all Haldimann are utterly beautful.
Like Journe when he does his Tourbillon, his Resonance, his Chronomètre Souverain or Optimum, there is a coherence of looking for chronometric system, a research. These watches that are not only watches but a part of a more global approach.
My only regret is that I can't attend Baselworld this year, hope for big reports on that watch.
cheers
