Independents

A tremendous effort of blood, sweat & tears...

Pascal has done an amazing thing with these Chronometers, the hand finishing at this level and price is unreal, and quite frankly I don't understand how it is done and that he gets to make a living...especially in France, where the cost of living is not so low...taxes et al.

I only hope it pencils out financially for him in the long run, and he has something else up his sleeve for the future, because from what I know about the business aspect of Independent artisanal watchmaking, one cannot put in this amount of hours for so little in exchange. This type of superb hand finishing takes a long time.

Those early adopters are and will be rewarded as he delivers the others, an almost impossible to replicate masterpiece for years to come.

I had the pleasure of examining FX's piece in Basel this year, and the result was as good if not better than I anticipated. Yes the case is nothing special and dial relatively simple lacquer, but that movement with all the hand finishing work within it, wow, just wow!

Congrats on being one of the few...

Cheers,
Tim
