I think they are awesome but not sure they will do what FPJ did. His styling definitely appeals to more crowds IMO. Personally I would rather go MB&F than DB because of the mix of classic/contemporary design. I think RG does it better too.

To answer your question, NO. And now that it's part of the entire Watchbox scheme, I do expect there to be clever inventory management.

Let's say you go to the store to buy a jar of tomatoes. It's $1 a jar. And it's almost always there. You're in no rush to buy it. But if they say "We will only have jars of tomatoes on the first week of every month" then you'll buy one just in case. That'... 

they're great in design, use of materials but I think they don't cater to broad enthusiasts like FPJ.

imho, just the diversity ofJourne is wider & complete vs DB, from a simple time only CS/CB to Astronomic Souveraine. the same you can think of when it comes to case size, metal and the choice of timepiece for a variety of dress codes. DB is extremely fun ... 

I am a big fan of you. You hit the bells with FPJ crazy and odd dials. Not my kind of watches. Albeit Journe have models i like and want, like Octa S and Chronometre blue. Not applied to it’s popularity, but to enjoy what this fabulous watchmaker creates....

Journe is a league of it’s own in the world of watches. As i see how many talk about Journe, write, it comes to me as they see it as Patek Philippe. Modern times Patek Philippe like brand. Truly, Francois made incredible watches. But ok, the multi dialed ... 

While many more may admire DB‘s watches, not that many actually want to own such outlier pieces. Saying ‚cool watch‘ is quite different from buying one. That said, I think it’s one of the most interesting brands out there and I deerly love them sice they ... 

But do you not melt when you see a Chronometre Blue, Chronometre Souverrain, and Octa S? I do.

I confess, DB is nice. FPJ is nice. DB is more my thing, due to the modern cutting edge design. FPJ watches gone through the roof, so they are so exclusive, a normal watch guy can not get the hands on it. DB not cheap either, feels the opportunity to get ...

What is WB? I hope collectors overthink any buy from current horology indies, and lay the focus on Patek Philippe. It’s their choice, but i would set my cards on Patek.

I like Indies, almost I've zero brand rather all Indies & I'm not loyal to any specific brand - so if it is a good timepiece I just like.

WB, no thanks. Uptick Watches and Watch finder are fine. The downside of Uptick is that he always talk about Rolex. Watch finder is informative, but it’s downside is that Watch finder is advertise instead of watch enthusiasm. But both are for me ok, when ... 

When I heard that Watchbox had acquired a share in DB,I immediately knew why they started to hype these watches since a few months. That being said,DB watches are very nice and innovative ....

And DB may become the next most successful attempt of cornering the market after FPJ. DB is arguably much easier to restrict supply as the total production numbers are so much lower than FPJ. I’m glad people are now more aware of this, as when it was happ... 

DB becomes a victim of “smart marketing” by Watchbox. If collectors feel that the DeBethune prices are not what they really ought to be, due to “market-making” by WB; it is highly likely that DeBethune can lose genuine watch-collector patrons and perhaps ... 

And the grey market dealer responsible for the increase of the FPJ hype is WatchBox and they are shareholder of DB now so 1 1 is ..🤷🏻‍♂️

Stand alone DB is cool, with WB I’m even not thinking purely bcos they just push hype

The investment from Watchbox should be a good news to De Bethune and existing collectors. I heard that WatchBox has acquired the holdings from existing financial investors and will have a board seat. No changes to management team and new watch production ... 

When it comes to FPJ, the personality of the owner gathering a core group of enthusiastic collectors/investors in the brand and maker, plus establishing boutiques for ease of sales and service, were the factors that made for an easily hype-able brand. DeB...

Certainly WB has been contributor the the success of Journe but they had been supporters of the brand for many years prior to the massive rise in prices ( which others brands/models are also experiencing) I think along with reasons mentioned by others, th... 

De Bethune’s earlier models, DB1 to DB26, were produced in very small quantities and quite collectable. I hope that they will make more classically looking pieces, compared to more futuristic looking ones. Here is my only De Bethune watch, DB27 V2 Titan H...
