It is interesting that when I met Peter Speake-Marin at a Dinner with a group of WIS recently , Peter spoke very highly of Peter Forsey. He mentioned he and Peter Forsey were together at the same watch making school in the UK and that Forsey had this great ability to solve very complex mechanical "issues".

for sharing this peek into the world of GF. I agree that they deserve the award given to them as they have consistently shown and proven that their wizardry is no one trick pony, I amongst others out here most certainly look forward with interest to their...

for this insightful look at the work that GF puts into their watches. While I have never been attracted to their watches, I have always appreciated the extraordinarily fine finishing that went into them. The pictures of components in process show just how...

I only came ot be aware of them very very recently which again exposes my novice status in this game but I must say, they do indeed have some very interesting (and large) creations.

Thanks for the report Andrew

Despite its size (and Richemont stake), Greubel Forsey still manages to retain the small company feel in its watches. Thanks for the great article. - SJX

Beautiful technique that enhances the watch

I do have one question Will G-F ever make a watch that more people can afford ? Their watches are superb but when I see where the listprice starts .... :-( So do they consider making a watch which isn't extremely complicated and has only 3 hands, for let'...

Very informative article, and I also must ask...

This is a very pleasant read and an interesting insight. The aesthetics of their watches is not at all to my liking but I respect their art in watchmaking.

Most of the info we receive about Greubel Forsey tends to concentrate on their mechanical wizardry, the excellence of which is by now justly famous. This report on the other hand, focuses on a less recognised aspect of their watchmaking mastery. Finishing...

Thanks Andrew, I'd love to hear more about the science that GF claims to bring to the table. There's nothing about it that seems particularly disingenuous(I believe they are sincere at least), but I'm a "show me the data" kinda guy, and need more than sim...
