👋 All, Recently I attended an event hosted by Ressence and saw some interesting pieces !

Ressence is a brand that I heard of since many years ago and felt that they have funky dials.  Had always thought that they were digital watches because of how the displays on dial moves.  When my friend Kevin Cureau informed me that he joined as the Sales & Brand representative - Asia for Ressence, I was thrilled for him !  Kevin kindly invited me to an evening of tasty wines & delicious food, along with a promise that attendance would not equate to pressure to buy.  How could I resist ??

Over 30 collectors attended and Ressence's founder Benoit Mintiens gave a touching speech on the concept and drive behind his brand.  When Benoit conceived Ressence, he knew mechanical watches were not a necessary item to tell time.  Hence, he set out to ensure the dial be interesting and mesmerizing, and created dials that pople WANTED to wear because of the unique features in telling time.  His thinking resonated with me.

Upon inspecting the watch, I found it amusing how to move the dial, set the time and wind the watch.  One needs to hold the watch by the side, and use two fingers from the other hand to turn the back case.  Certain pieces are more challenging to turn in the back and need some getting used to.  Naturally, the dial is the best part of the watch.

The colorful one with concentric circles was my favorite !  Which dial(s) sing/s to you ?
