My new Speake-Marin arrived Friday. I believe it to be the second steel Piccadilly with a white gold engraved dial; at least, it says "No. 2" on the certificate and back. Given the somewhat tepid reaction from my family -- "oh, uh, that's nice" -- to a wa...

PSM hits the nail on the head

What do they know, right? ;-) That is, for me, the most beautiful PSM watch I have ever seen. I love the dial, the lugs, the hands -- everything. How about a wrist shot and a view of the back of teh watch, please. Congratulations! I hope it grows on your ... 

I'm traveling and will get a wrist shot and back shot when I return -- nice to know that (here, at least) my family is wrong!

Great grab Seth, As much as I love Peter's new movements, titanium cases and multi-piece dials.... and I do love them. I have no less affection for the earlier pieces with modified ETA movements. They are an important part of his evolution as a watchmaker... 

naturally your family will react with a WOW had you bought them the new IPad or X-box, but what do they know

It's actually not guilloché (which just proves something about the poor quality of my phone photos and the way in which photos don't capture depth) -- it's hand engraved. In fact, to me, one of the nice things about the engraving is that it is asymme...
