I like the SBGM001 too, but the fact that it does not have any luminous hands or dial is a mystery to me. But the finish on the watch and bracelet are wonderful; I can understand why the Explorer II has gone into hibernation.
Do share with us your other Grand Seikos! I would be especially keen to hear your thoughts on the 72-hour automatic with power reserve.
