and I hesitated to make the comparison with the 5216, but it didn't work as well imo, because the design of the VC is very special, almost a bit strange, so I had to find another unusual design... That's why I ended up choosing the 5316 as a contender to the VC 80172.

I feel the same way concerning the Patek and concerning the mandatory perfection at such a price range.

I'd have to hear them in person, but I suspect the PP feels better on the wrist and sounds better. Like the look of the VC, but I suspect it'd be the PP. Dreamy repeaters...
I like the size of the PP better,

Being a Grande Double Sonnerie, the BP is clearly one step beyond.

I would much prefer a more traditional design for such watches. The 5216P (one of my grail) would be an wonderful substitute. The VC size and design do not appeal to me as well.

Both amazing and beautiful pieces. I think the Patek had a slight advantage as its a bit more casual to wear imo
