Dear Nilo, Universal Genève is IMHO one of the most interesting Swiss brand, amongst the inactive ones. It’s a pity they don’t produce anymore, and I think the last models (Baselworld 2009) don’t give justice to the brand’s history.
One of the reason why I miss their original proposals, is easily proven by your post: the watches by Universal Genève, in fact, cover all of the entire commercial spectrum, from the most refined and dressy ultra-thin watch to the most sporty and bold asymmetrical divers watch, without forgetting the iconic Compax family (thank you, Nilo, for having explained its meaning)…
My sincere appreciation for this brand, however, will be my unique contribution, because I don’t have any UG and because I can’t add any information in addition to what we can find on the Internet. With regards to these resources, I’ve noticed that one of the most recent book on the brand, has been written by an Italian: maybe, it’s a proof of our very fine taste??? ;-)
Looking forward to your next posts.
Ciao,
Elio
