Horological Meandering

When I had an Overseas, I thought I would not need another watch.

It was the old model; the new one is too big for me. If it had done what it was supposed to do, I might never have become a watch collector. Unfortunately, I had comfort issues with the bracelet and found the watch susceptible to magnetization. I eventually disposed of it, and have been looking for a substitute since.

The key attributes were:

1. Thin

2. Genuinely water resistant

3. Very legible (the guilloche dial was pleasingly nonreflective)

4. Chronometer certified

5. Very high quality

6. Versatile in that it could be worn with a suit or a bathing suit (appropriately, not just because of "ignore the rules and wear what you like")
