Horological Meandering

VERY handsome Vulcain

I like the looks of this watch very much.  I've always admired two-dial chronos, and this one looks especially clean and modern.  Those long hour markers are quite good-looking.  I think the silver dial is preferable --- On the black dial version, that white-background date indicator looks totally inappropriate.
I just recently acquired my first Vulcain, the Nautical Trophy Tribute, and I can't take it off my wrist!  Yes, that's the "poor man's Polaris" (Please don't hit me, Nico!) -  also a diver alarm, same 42mm case as the JLC Polaris, same 16 holes on the caseback, similar interior movable ring, but with the crazy, completement fou, miniscule, impossible-to-read-and-wildly-impractical diver decompression tables!  I love it.  Of course, it hasn't the pedigree nor the classic look of the JLC Polaris; but it was 1/5 of the cost, so who's complaining?
Ano Nuevo, a very happy owner of my new Vulcain
