UTS is a cool watch

I flirted with getting one a few times at least. The bulk of it, the personally made case. the feeling of a man's vision in the watch, this is all very cool. And it's a beast, let's face it, a huge, heavy watch, but well done.

the Rolex Sub C, well...  can you even compare them? The finish, majesty, lineage, etc of this watch is off the charts.

On the other hand, sometimes Subs seem like a dime a dozen because 'everyone' wears one.

And everyone looks great wearing one, I might add, even if in the back of your mind you're thinking, 'there's too damn many Subs out there!'

So, yes, you're graduating to a new class, no doubt, wearing the Rolex.

But do you value individuality, connection to a living man's ideas about dive watches? That's what you have with the UTS, even if it isn't a legend, but more of a cult-ish cool watch.

I don't see the obvious answer here.

It's not that the UTS is the greatest watch. It's just that I like what it represents. The more independent watchmaker. My guess is you read all about Nicolaus Spinner, and his ideas about divers.

Forget the obvious choice.

Which choice reflects your values as a collector? The choice might be surprising, or obvious.
