Horological Meandering

Tony, platinum is the reason...

Tony, platinum is the reason i'll probably never
own a first model. they are few and far between often in gold and as you said,
Platinum. i'm not sure i'll ever consider the cost worthwhile as i can buy
something else from my wishlist for the same price(i assume). also i'll probably
never get the chance to go to Japan.

Lionel, i cant promise they'll stay with me
forever. i seem to run in 5 year cycles. i have watches in my collection i know
i'll never sell like the freak and star wheel and the GS range dont really fit
into that catagory so who knows? at the moment its the thrill of the
chase.

Andrew, i have a link i can pass to you if you pm
me which is a history of grand seiko. whether its complete i dont know but it
seems to be and has helped me a lot.

i should add, that although i cant be commercial on
the post, i own 2 56GS watches, 1 not shown here for only 1 reason. i hope
not to own it within the week if you know what i mean :)

thanks guys, i was wondering how a pile of vintage
Japanese watches would be viewed, and favourably is the answer.
