watch strap material
I see increasingly using the cowhide strap, from brand to brand, Is this some fashion? wondering if the alligator strap is not widely accepted anymore

Almost all of the independents I know are prolific users of alligator or other "exotic" leathers...
Fear not!
I believe that alligator is on its way back into style, even *glossy* alligator.
I don't know about fashion but to my eyes . . .
. . . grained calfskin is preferable over other leathers including large scale gator. The texture of grained calfskin is pleasing to my eye. M4
International shipping of gator and croc is a problem.
