Horological Meandering

The value of that Longines, John, is not in the case -

plenty around, real cheap; or the movement - it is a great, underappreciated upper mid grade movement but relatively ubiquitous; and the dial, though of exceptional condition, is relatively easy to find as well.

It is the provenance that it somehow binds us, as fellow watch aficionados who have shared some wine and broken bread together.

That is why, even though I acquired it from you at a higher price than I could find it elsewhere, in similar condition or better, I still consider it a good value based upon pride of ownership and personal satisfaction.

But if you are missing it alot, drop me an email.

How's France? We miss you at our LA gatherings.

Cheers,

TM
