The merits of Grand Seiko watches and the brand...
is one of the constant re-occuring themes on this and other watch forums. You won't have to go back far to find plenty of discussion. That said I find the Grand Seiko offerings credible on all levels. I own the SWGB001 hand wind and love the immaculate finish and simple presision of the thing. I would definitely buy other models when and if my situation allows.

I have the same model as Rei but in white dial. Got it from Hong Kong in 2009 and it is really keeping very good time. It does not feel cheap at all and i look forward to see the new Hi-Beat in flesh.

Moses, you will find that there is a growing community here...
in regards to the GSs. I have the SBGM003 and just love it. I wear it more than any other piece, even more than my Patek. The craftsmanship will rival most high-end manufacturers, Swiss or other wise. Do post some pictures! Aloha, Bob
