I'm a little surprised how fetching it is on the wrist, to be honest.
My advice, hold off several years on making a purchase then get her a nice one (like this JLC). Hopefully she'll appreciate the gesture as an early teenager and demonstrate much TLC for her timepiece. In the meantime, let her wear yours or mom's around the house on occasion to keep the flame burning.

This is actually the first watch I thought of for her, but as far as I can see, I found only 42mm watches, too big for her wrist.
