I take your point regarding the accuracy of a vintage movement vs a modern one.
Nike has been milking the retro 80s-90s sneakers Jordan 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...with re-issues. 2013 was the year of several color ways of the Jordan V. Guess what 2014 will be? Yes, year of Jodran VI.
Retro has always been cool. My concern is if all brands do is recreate designs from a past golden age, what will they do to recreate designs of today 25 years from now if they don't have that many new designs? Will the current designs have a chance to compete commercially with proven retro designs?
