I does indeed feel like a bit of history on the wrist (and it's plain cool to look at!)
And I would agree that this one was created during somewhat darker days in the lifespan of Breguet. Somewhat of a light amongst a fair bit of darkness.
I've learned quite a bit about these movements from your posts over the years, so thank you.

A new vintage pick-up....
Was not expecting to ever see one of these on my wrist, but every now and then....... My first vintage Breguet. Love the dial, but like what's inside at least as much (and probably more): An e-mail from Breguet calls this one simply the "1276". Apparently...

You're likely correct about the crown, but to be honest, I'm not sure I'll be able to find a scan of one of these with the original crown. I may reach out to Breguet again, but I think I now have all of the information they have on this timepiece. Darren

The watch was manufactured in 1952 and sold on December 31, 1953. A New Year's present it would appear. Thanks for the kind words. Darren
