These watches have a process of electroplating, I am speculating, which is not done in Swiss watches. But it makes the watch highly resistant to rust or corrosion. These subs are the most rare of Seikos, even less seen than many grander watches. Because o...

Hi Bernard, The high crystal on modern Grand Seikos is usually sapphire, even though it has the character of an acrylic crystal of yesteryear. By the engraving on the back glass I think you might be showing us a current model, so is the front crystal perh...  

From the rotor it seems you bought the watch when you were visiting the factory? Which model is that?

Ronald I love the Seikos, these submersible Galantes were the exact same prices as a Rolex Datejust ! Not cheap, but are good conversation pcs for most parties! BlackBerry

For prolonged wearing.

I still like them, because of their far off the scope design. I cant think of any simple watch with so much going on at every corner...too much. However, it does get much time being used, maybe because medicine or law are too serious work environments.
