Thanks for an interesting post! Glad to see your next addition will be carefully chosen, high quality, and just as important, "deeply rooted" --- to borrow (back) a vital concept I have long espoused on the cultural importance of our hobby! ;-)

I very much look forward to seeing the outcome of this fascinating search (both the brand and the particular watch you'll select), when the right time comes! smile Cheers.

I stopped by a local bistro for a glass of Chardonnay and a sandwich. I brought the Wristwatch Annual 2022 with me — looking for inspiration or to validate my latest thoughts about a new watch. I used to buy this book every year — this is the first one I ...

As a huge JLC fan I'd pick the Reverso

Have you tried some of the rose gold versions? It doesn't have to be SS

You're on the right track!

The Breguet, the VC (which is now just a hair over $20K USD) Traditionelle small seconds at 6 o'clock, and the JLC Reverso are all good pieces. Might I add another suggestion... The Bulgari Octo Finissimo in steel or titanium bracelet. Another fantastic p...

My vote is for the Reverso

A watch that I too will add to my collection. The 1931 ultra thin is the way to go and aside from the obvious SS version with black dial, I find the rose gold version with chocolate dial quite delicious. Some take issue with the inclusion of the subsidiar...

Wondering if I should venture into RG

Can’t go wrong with any of the Ultra thin 1931 tributes

For me, having the Reverso on the dial, rather than JLC, is important. They are all stunningly beautiful. I do have a soft spot for the look of the chocolate dial with rose gold

All the choice you mention are great ones and in the end you should get the one that triggers the most passion for you. You can't really go wrong here!

Also a good thing your choices are already nailed down to a few, meaning their are strong choices for you. Since I am still having a love affair with one of your possible target, here are a few pictures to help your process ) ...

LOL - I know what you mean I think I got carried away lately with so many new straps! I need to slow down a bit, at least until a new watch arrival! ROFL

On the flip side I feel I am wearing a new watch almost everyday because of strap changes...

Your journey will have succes

The VC traditionelle is i belief a watch that can withstand centuries. The watch father time will have as his watch. The VC for me.

All great choices. I’d go with the JLC. Saw it in the wild the other day on a gent shopping..

I had to do a double take to verify that it was a Reverso. And once my eyesight adjusted, it was a blue tribute duo indeed. Very nice on his wrist. Something about that case size and shape. Just enough presence on the wrist. Elegant yet casual enough as o...
