Thanks. AP used to be my favorite brand. But I’ve gotten bored with only ever seeing and hearing about Royal Oaks and all their variations.
I bought my Millenary specifically because it looks nothing like a Royal Oak.
When I first started collecting, the Royal Oak was just old enough to look like an outdated model. I passed up many opportunities to buy one because I thought they didn’t look modern, but they also didn’t look vintage. That impression has remained with me to this day with the exception of the original 1972 model, now out of my price range (the same model I passed on many times in the mid ‘80s, along with the original PP Nautilus).
