Horological Meandering

After starting here in late May last year - with a question on the Chrono One - I find myself (999 posts later) with a new hobby, many more watches and a slightly worried spouse (how many does one need - watches that is) and a wishlist for many, many year...

My watch is a production PuristS ABR with special meaning number, of course! Many people complained that the Mk I strap was difficult to put on single handed and the buckle hurts some people. Listening to PuristS feedback, St Gallen has made silicon rubbe...  

From mine. Is the one with the black plastic clasp the Mk. I?

The black plastic clasp is only for the limited edition Red strap for PuristS; a beta test version. The black metal clasp is regular production version for all old St Gallen Mk I straps. The "button" metal fastener is the Mk II strap version. Regards, MTF...

I sense a pent-up desire for a new strap from some of us ... Is it possible to ascertain if they still have some Mk II straps available? Thanks, Mike

It came with the red and the black one - just have not tried the black yet. May also try the non silicon ones at some point (as I do not operate on a regular basis)...

Very pretty but the screw nuts fall off. Now, I have a screw tightening 'jig' but it was 'purloined' from a St Gallen watchmaker. I don't think everyone can get one of those jigs but I hear that two fine pliers do the same job. Regards, MTF

Yes. Try the St Gallen watch website. They had two after sales offices: Switzerland for the West and Hong Kong for the East. The problem is that courier costs are more than the price of a strap! I just happened to be visiting Baselworld and was handed my ...

That\'s a perfect watch for the occasion. I don\'t have one to join you with unfortunately. As for the other half, get the spouse interested, and you might lose a few watches but have an excuse to buy more ;-)

All I can tell you after 10K+ posts that this site is greatest challenge for marrigae...regardless what they say that it is for banker...wallet or whatever it is for marriage....on the other hand it is best test out there how much your wife loves you... I...

Some other "Community" watches here, depending on definition: - TT Polaris 68, TT Polaris 65, TT DSA US & EU - Reverso TT 1931 or the newer ones, such as red, blue.. You will always find some piece, and occasion , that lets you enjoy a certain friendship ...
