So …….. I’m interested in thoughts on the latest iterations of these two iconic chronographs - both of this I acquired at list from ADs.


One of them is a clear favorite of mine - and having both I can honestly say that this is based on pure preference as opposed to inability to source one or the other.
As much as I love the aesthetic of many vintage watches, I only tend to purchase contemporary models as I don’t want the excitement associated with establishing provenance of older pieces.

I can’t speak for Abel, but I didn’t wear my Daytona in Florida when I visited last year, but did wear my white dial 5711. Stayed in Ft. Lauderdale just prior to taking a week long cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and didn’t feel uncomfortable.
