Simple enough if you know Geography :)
The arrow hand is a date indicattor.
You just locate the city you are interested in (here is geography needed) and read the time of the Sun dial with the numbers, then you can easily adjust the hour hand with the side pushers to the time. The watc takes care of the date jump if needed.

It is very nice, and I’m not seen the Sonata or paid attention to the traveling function, as I replied to Nico above, I thought it’s just an alarm watch.

... Are simply fantastic. Sure, the Rolex GMT is the perennial GO TO watch, but the GP is probably the most practical, great value. The Lange? Oh my, perfection beyond! But can only be afforded by a few.
