Seems like harmless fun
I'll admit that I've been a professional in the watch industry for 12 years, and I don't understand how a person can get upset about this. It's some harmless fun and a shockingly self-effacing climbdown that AP's imperious image desperately needed. I'm glad that they're still self-possessed enough to laugh at themselves. I'm also glad that AP and Swatch made this as weird as possible. For most people, that's a clear sign that it's all in good fun. As for the rest, they're just going to have to deal.

May be sacrilege to purists but I can understand the hype factor and collab.
Perhaps it is targeted towards the younger generation for conspicuous consumption. I don't know since I am old, can only speculate.
