They have the "extract from the archives" that is very reliable and will assure you that you got the correct year. Of course, there are other brands (JLC etc.) but I don't know how reliable are their dating process. Cheers, Nilo

The Geophysic is right up there (and has the advantage of being a chronometre movement). Of course, Rolex can fit almost any year: unfortunately, the Rolex from 1958 has taken on something of an aura. Best wishes in the hunt: please keep us posted. Cheers...
