Horological Meandering

Safe to say that this hasn't been seen here before...

it's a 30j Buren micro-rotor from 1965. Buren, as some of you know, patented the first micro-rotor automatic watch movement (the intra-matic) in 1954. They licensed the technology to companies such as Bulova and Hamilton. Universal Geneve also debuted a microrotor movement in their Polerouter series about this time, but it was nearly identical in design specification to the Intramatic. Buren won a patent infringement case and U.G. had to pay Buren royalties for each microrotor it used afterwards. This watch features the final version of the historically important intra-matic movement.
