ORIS BC3 Air Racing Limited Edition Launch in Singapore

Last month on the 19 May,ORIS launched the Oris BC3 Air Racing Limited Edition at Singapore's first skydiving simulator, iFly, located in Sentosa, second day after the S$25 Millions facility received the Public Entertainment License.
Indeed a relevant and novel location chosen to introduce the ORIS BC3.

The ORIS BC3 is created to commemorate the first time ever that the Oris Big Crown Air Racing Team flown by Team pilot,  Don Vito Wypraechtiger, qualified in the legendary Reno Air Races in Nevada and came in 2nd for his first attempt in this Formula Gold Race.

The setup  ...

The diameter 42mm titanium ORIS BC3 Air Racing is limited to 1,000 pieces.

Single layer anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal to reduce glare.  Hour markers and hands are SuperLuminova coated.
Stainless steel screw-down crown.
Movement is ETA 2893-2 with second time zone. It comes with either titanium bracelet with folding clasp or leather strap.

Solid caseback with Oris Big Crown Racing motif and serial number.  Water resistance is rated to 100m.

The case and the linear retrograde of the BC4 caught my attention.

Housed in a squarish 42.7mm steel case with round bezel.

Oris Quick Lock Crown system, the crown will pop out with an intuitive push down and twist action.  Likewise for locking in.
The sides of the case is nterestingly polished with alternating texture for better contrast too.

The day pointer for weekday is white-colour.  The day-marker (in the picture above) is white and pointing at MONday.

The video below illustrate the jump from Friday to Saturday.  Note the colour of the markers and day changed instantaneously.

Back to the launch activity,  the 'flight scehdule' for wind-tunnel.
Understand it will be charged at USD72 per session, and it seemed like each session is about 45 seconds.

Try to simulate the free fall outside the tunnel.  One of them mentioned, it was actually quite tiring after the session smile

But it was a good opportunity for people who are afraid of height and jumped off from an aeroplane at great height ....

There is a procedure before the jump ...

Firstly fill out an indemnity form and sign it.  An about 15 minutes of theory and briefing through a video session by an instructor.

Proper posture and safety precaution were mentioned.

After that, it's gearing up...

Everyone to be changed into a jump-suit, helmet, goggles, rubber-shoes and ear-plugs.
