I just returned from a long diving trip to the Far East. On the way back I had nothing to do on the plane and started to list my watch purchases in 2009. What I concluded was that last year I bought 10 new watches with an average purchase price of a bit o...
Damn, I'm blacklisted? :)))

Well done, my friend. I know what it is, and you're perfectly right. Some brands should take this watch as an example on what to do and how to do it. Welcome to one of the most popular watch, here. Damn, I speak too much. I beg your mercy, your Honor. Bes...
You are all so right...

Longines Legend Diver has it all: The optimal water tightness of 300 meters, good and wearable size, light weight, it is extreamly readable, the bezel can be locked in a secure way and the strap is simply great. I just compared the strap with the ones of ...
2?
By: amanico : April 5th, 2010-13:34
I would be tempted to say that such a watch would cost the double of its retail, so buying two is not illogical! Best, my friend, and congrats! Nicolas. PS: As for the Polaris Strap, it is certainly the weak point of the watch, but an after market will wo...
Two...

Nico, I love Polaris so much that I bought three. And like too often you are right: LLD is so cheap that one could easily cost what two are costing for the time being. In my opinion the Legend Diver is the very best bargain in the dive watch market today....

If I were a rich man, I would have five Polaris: the two dial versions of -68, Pt. -65 and Paris -65. Plus one just for diving... But I'm not rich and I have just the Pt -65, Paris -65 and the "ordinary" -68. However, I am still discussing with myself abo...
Great post ...

treading your post the Longines directly came to my mind ... BUT ... 2 LLd's only ?? I think if i had your budget i'd bought at least 5 or 6 ..... . Well, to me the LLD is one of the most expensive watches i ever bought and it's great to hear from a colle...
Two or more...

Filip, I have not yet thought how great this watch will look with different straps. But I am spending some 4 months every year diving and always without exceptions I am wearing both a diving watch and a diving computer. To me the Legend Diver represents a...
Sure I hit the corals!
By: dr.kol : April 14th, 2010-00:10
Taking macro photos require a steady position. Normally I find a nice stone or something but often I have to put my hand somewhere into the corals and after that the watches look quite terrible. By the way: there is one watch which takes easily all this p...
This watch..

...is a pretty good example of a dive-only watch. No frills. But yes the 1000m is stupid. It doesn't seem particularly bulkier than my Aqualands, nor my Suunto (was a Vyper, which died, so now a Gekko). All my dive watch scratches come from the boat and/o...
Double congratulations to you...

This is a very sporty yet elegant watch. I would think about a different strap for one of them so you can maximise its versatility. By the way, I did not know that you can still buy it in the non-date version. All the stores in my area only sell the date ...
Cheap?
By: dr.kol : April 7th, 2010-07:10
Okay, I admit that € 1,500 is a lot of money. At the same time I have been forced to accept that a nice diving watch is easily costing something between 5,000 and 10,000 euros. For most of sensible people that is surely far too much for a sporting w...
