Horological Meandering

Hi fellow watchenthusiasts and watchlovers,

here comes the latest from Moritz Grossmann in Glashütte in Germany.  Moritz Grossmann introduced the new "Backpage" just a few days ago.  This is the second iteration of the Backpage.

The first iteration looked like this:

The second iteration which was just presented, looks significantly different:

This second and new version has a dial made of sapphire which allows you a full view on the dialside which is in fact the backside mirrored to the front.  Screws and hands are purple which is "handpurpled" over a flame.  There are only pieces of a second or two where the purple color can be accomplished, after that it is too late and you have to start over with a new set of hands or screws.

There will be a whitegold and rosegold timepiece and both will be limited to 8 pieces each.  The movement number 107 has been mirrored, some call it vice versa.  This is not the same as skeletonization where major pieces of the bridges are cut out.  On this watch, nothing was cut out, it simply is mirrored. The movement is decorated with High-Artistic Finish.  Moritz Grossmann made itself a name with their beautiful movement finishing.
