Horological Meandering

New Strap + Old Watch = New Watch (to me)

At least that's how I see things. I have had this Stowa Marine special edition for a long time and its strap had given up more than once.

I repaired it with epoxy, staples! and some thread, and replaced the missing keeper with some O-rings. When the watch head end let loose, I was able to catch it in time, and swore to get a new strap.

I dug around in my strap drawers and found one almost exactly the same -- I must have ordered it and forgot that I did so, or else it just materialized from a parallel universe ...

This one seems much stronger and is not missing any essential parts - in fact it even had a factory tag on it so I didn't imagine that it was new.

I'm so happy I decided to jump the gun and have a corned beef sandwich a few days early.

Cheers,

Cazalea
