When the AP RO 15500 got announced last year, it was notable that the silver dialed version was missing from this iteration. This, being the dial color of my 15400 version, piqued my interest. Why would they retire that dial? Poor sales? Difficulty in manufacture? In my opinion, it was the most sparkly and jewel-like dial, and one that showcased the depth and topography of the tapisserie the most.
So, now that AP is going back full-on with releases within the RO line-up, a new brother (to my watch pops up). It’s the 15500 silver dial. Naturally, it’s just as good looking, albeit a little more sporty than my liking. The lack of “Automatic” wording on the dial is welcome, though
