More difficult to design than you might think

Just out of curiosity — was there a price attached to this watch? If it’s new I would imagine close to 50 k EUR ...

Clearly not everyone’s Daytona, but I would like to make three comments:
- To design a colorful watch like this one is a lot more difficult than one could imagine. If you don’t believe me, give it a try at Blaken’s website and see for yourself. Combining bright colors at least for me is a challenge.
- The leather strap itself is very impressive, I would like to know who made that, as Blaken themselves do not make straps (as far as I know).
- The crown in orange is an interesting detail, which is normally not available through Blaken’s customization process. So I am guessing this watch was either designed by Blaken, or by a big client of theirs, who was allowed and extra level of customization not available to everyone.

Just my two cents.

It is the same with tuned cars with after market parts:

If you want to sell it one day you need to find the one who will say: "This is exactly how I want It!"

You're right. Not easy to sell later. But I like it as it is.

I think it is expensive but looks cheap. A conversation piece

100% dig it

I dig it 100%, too!

It’s whimsical, it’s fun. Obviously, it’s owner does not take him/herself too seriously. And I love the creativity and desire to not just be one more of the tens-of-thousands of steel Rolexes out there every year. It’s not for everyone, but that’s the poi...

That's true [nt]

The Seiko Mod world is amazing, and embraced by all. Yet do it to a Rolex and there always seems to be an issue.

What’s the difference only the price of the watch in question. (And perhaps much of the modding is done by owners, not commercial ventures). As for this “design” I’m not sure, I don’t think I like it but yet I’ve looked at this post several times today! ...

While seeing those conversions

I usually think what may be the reason that the owner hasn't been pleased with the watch as original but has had it converted into the new look.

The price tag on the right belongs to the next "Daytona" and is 32.900 EUR. ...
