No story other than said above but it was one of two vintage Mavados I had bought at the same auction for the cal 150 parts. The other is a Marine from 1942 with an inscription on the back, 30mm case, which does have a story I discovered on the internet. The Marine is also a good time-keeping one but now needs a new mainspring. Below is my wg favourite and although running, needs a new regulator index, which I found NOS after I had bought the two mentioned above! That's life!
By the way I have just ordered a new strap for the watch with the "funky" numbers.
