Horological Meandering

I saw this watch months ago in an antique store and I couldn't keep it out of my mind. So today I bought it. The movement is going to need some looking after but I bought it regardless. I think its a Schild movement but not sure. On closer inspection the ...  

...and the dial is interesting, although I don't think it is guilloche. Hopefully the movement will clean up well and you'll have a keeper. I like it : )

...to do guilloche on a stainless steel watch that probably retailed for a couple of hundred bucks... But I still like it : )

You are probably correct considering what guilloche looks like on a Shapiro or Breguet (and the resultant prices). But I like it too and I'll get more than my moneys worth in enjoyment.

You pick up those watches that belongs on the wrists of passioned watch lovers. Those watches that needs to get out of a drawer, and need a fresh bath in the hands of a watch maker. Angelus is for what i know have some name. I guess it made still watches,...

I've also read through most of the threads that come up when I search "Angelus" on this site. Although most of the posts are either regarding newer Angelus watches or the obviously more desirable vintage chronographs, it still provides interesting reading...
