Last sunday started like this...
Going trough some dark and dangerous alleys
Some distinctive landmarks of my city
He he! Mexico City's WTC looks like the biggest Single Malt Flask to me... yummy!
I even had a plane to catch...well, in my picture at least
All this to get to this place: Mexico's famous Central de Abastos (Supply Central) where you can get the most fresh and tasty raw material for cooking a delicious food.
Lots of happy faces here!
Be patient please, I'm getting to the horological point
My friend Felipe cleaning something for us...
Well... and what does this have to do with watches and HOME???
Because I was wearing this!
because my companion is nothing more than this old gentleman:
Mido Multifort Automatic Bumper Sweep seconds Calibre 0917, 17 jewels, the only large-scale produced regulator featuring a free oscillating hairspring. The end of the spring is fixed between two rollers, adjusting actually its length. No isochronism error by the gap between the regulator pins. Nice feature, eh? Serial number 1349656 gold cap case, with a little wear at the end of the lugs and a lot of bumps and scratches, otherwise, a nice vintage watch. I have to do more research to find out what year it was made. Acording to some expert at other forum it is between 1949 and 1953.
Well, this old gentleman has a two tone dial, really gorgeous, you'll see, and an adorable (to my eyes at least) big crow that looks like a golden sun.
