Think I really will make a pause for some months, now... That is the problem when all the watches you order or hunt come at the same moment... OUCH! Yes, these Polaris are stunning, my friend. You should really try one, and get the virus! Best! Nicolas
Nice Polaris Chrono, Johan!
By: amanico : November 28th, 2008-02:43
And in Platinum! Wowow! I always amazed by the influence of the Polaris on this beautiful Amvox II! Wear it well! Best. Nicolas
Thanks Nicolas, I think you have one too? And AMVOX 1?
By: flowtr : November 28th, 2008-02:52
The Polaris re-issue is however not yet part of my stable. I only use recession-proof watch designs and the Polaris/AMVOX design definitely qualifies. Maybe I'll also have a Polaris one day...
For sure it will be a Jaeger LeCoultre
By: PoyFR : November 28th, 2008-04:06
but I have not yet decided which one... ;-) who knows may be I will wear something else anyway... one of the 190.8.96 ;-)...

is that the model that uses the Gubelin movement from the 1950's or a modern piece? a beautiful watch with that highly identifiable hour hand, possibly my favourite PP lthough its hard to say as there are so many. Graham
If it were the 50's model, I would be rich Graham.
By: AFK : November 28th, 2008-12:39
It is the latest version of the world timer with calibre 240 HU. I agree with you about the hour hand and this is what makes it look like the the 50's. Thanks for your recognition. Sincerely Ahmet

Ahmet, i've just seen the Agassiz model from 1946. Louis Cottier was an excellent watchmaker/designer. to have a movement used by such companies as PP, Agassiz, Gubelin etc is a great claim to fame. i would need to be a rich man to buy this one and its on...

I'm a sucker for PP World Time Watches... They have this charm, this elegance that makes them very appealing, and the best and nicest world time watches in the world, IMO. They are THE reference, in this complication! Best, and as always, congrats for you...
Thanks Nicolas...
By: AFK : November 29th, 2008-08:46
I agree with you that PP world timers are the reference. By the way your 5110P and 5130G are gorgeous too. I hope you still keep them. Sincerely Ahmet
