Judging for what I see every time...
... I view myself in a mirror, Time is more generous with objects than with Humans! Lol!
My beloved objects I collect -like vintage watches, vintage pens or vintage folding knives- seem to get older with much more dignity and beauty than how I grow old! Lol!!
Anyway, I love a nice patina in watches, though I must accept that sometimes what some people describe as patina looks more like an ugly degradation or oxidation which I don´t like definitively.
A nice patina adds charm and character to a vintage timepiece which makes for a enhanced enjoyment having it on the wrist.
May I add some pictures of my own dial patinas to the great photographs shown above by our good friends here?

The only one that sticks out for me is the AP. For me, the only patina that works on a dress watch is a very slight, very even mellowing of the overall tone of the dial. In the case of a watch in the ultraluxury class, even that should be present only if ...
